Bubby, a 1.5-year-old Pomeranian, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and escaped.

“All the windows were busted and everything and that’s when our little buddy got scared and took off running. He took off running down Consolidate Road,” Valerie Burt said.

The people who helped look for Bubby set cages and his favorite toy’s to lure him home.

“He’s not part of a family, he is family,” Robert Burt said.

Bubby was found late Friday night in Preble County and is now back with his family.
