Downtown shop closing after more than 30 years

A Dayton business is closing after more than 30 years, the owner’s son-in-law said Monday.

Suney's Beauty and More will close by year's end, Nick Piccone told this news organization.

He could not provide complete details.

Suney English, the hair and clothing outlet store's owner, was not available for comment.

Piccone said English has been in business for more than 30 years, including about 10 years at her business’ current location, 45 S. Main St., and previously a few doors down near the corners of Main and Fourth streets.

Most of the items in the store are now buy two get one free. Piccone said additional sales will follow.

He put store closing banners in the shop’s windows Thursday.
