Driver cited after car hits senior center in West Carrollton crash

UPDATE @ 9:51 p.m.

The driver of an SUV responsible for a Tuesday night crash in West Carrollton will be charged, according to police at the scene. 

West Carrollton Sgt. Alex Flynn said the crash occurred after a woman driving a Ford Explorer on East Central Avenue attempted to turn onto Elm Street and struck a Chevy Equinox. 

The Equinox then hit the side of the West Carrollton Senior Center on East Central Avenue causing little damage to the structure, according to Flynn. 

Flynn told our crew the female driver of the Ford Explorer is at fault and will be charged with OVI and failure to control. 

No one was injured in the crash, according to Flynn, and crews remain in the area to clean up the crash. 

Our crew reports traffic is down to one lane on East Central as both SUV's no towed from the scene.

EARLIER REPORT

A car has reportedly crashed into a West Carrollton building following a two-car crash Tuesday night. 

Crews were dispatched to the intersection of East Central Avenue and Elm street around 8:45 p.m. 

Initial reports indicate a car crashed into a building near the intersection after colliding with another car. 

Injuries have been reported, according to dispatchers. 

We have a crew working to learn more from authorities at the scene.
