Driver in Moraine pursuit jailed in Montgomery County

UPDATE @ 1:05 p.m.

This suspect has been identified as Zade B. Reece, 18. He’s in Montgomery County Jail.


A pursuit that started in Turtlecreek Twp. that reached speeds of  120 to 125 MPH has ended in Moraine.

The pursuit ended just before 2:30 a.m. when the vehicle stopped at an apartment complex near the intersection of Main Street and Pinnacle Road in Moraine.

SCENE: High-speed pursuit ends in Moraine

Troopers with the Lebanon post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said a passenger from the vehicle is in custody, but the driver and one other passenger ran from the vehicle. A Kettering K9 unit is on scene.

The pursuit started when troopers attempted to pull over the vehicle for going 81 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. The vehicle fled on northbound I-75 and got off the highway at the West Carrollton exit.

The vehicle, a Kia Sportage, has Kentucky plates.
