Reports: Driver runs from scene after high-speed pursuit ends near WPAFB

State troopers are looking for the driver of a car Monday afternoon who ran away after a pursuit ended in a crash near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

State troopers reported the pursuit around 3:35 p.m. in the area of state Route 4 and Valley Street.

The pursuit ended around 3:40 p.m. on state Route 444 near Kauffman Road after the vehicle was involved in a crash, emergency scanner traffic indicates.

The driver of the vehicle ran from the scene, and multiple state troopers and other officers are in the area searching, initial reports indicate.

As of 6 p.m., crews were reportedly searching with K-9 teams near the 4000 block of Lower Valley Pike.

Speeds during the pursuit reached around 100 mph, according to scanner traffic.
