UPDATE: Woman hit by vehicle in Franklin Saturday has died, police say

UPDATE @ 9:15 a.m. (March 9):

A woman who suffered life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a vehicle in Franklin Saturday has died, according to Franklin Police Chief Russ Whitman.

Toni Bryant, 78, of Franklin was identified as the victim of the deadly crash, Whitman said.

Bryant was struck by a vehicle around 8 p.m. Saturday on Deerdoff Road in Franklin. She was initially transported to Atrium Medical Center before she was flown to Miami Valley Hospital.

Additional details about the crash and investigation were not released.

FIRST REPORT (March 7):

An elderly woman is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle as she crossed the street in front of her house in Franklin, according to a press release from Franklin police.

The incident took place on Deerdoff Rd between 2nd St and Virginia Ave around 8 p.m. Saturday night according to police.

The victim was taken to Atrium hospital and then flown to Miami Valley Hospital.
