Extra officers respond to incident in area of Salem and Emerson in Dayton

Extra police officers were requested to the area of Emerson and Salem avenues after an officer reported someone trying to ram him this afternoon, according to initial emergency dispatch traffic.

A countywide request for help was issued around 12:05 p.m.

A short time later a medic was requested to the 1700 block of Manor Place nearby.

A police supervisor was requested to the scene, according to emergency dispatch traffic.
