Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival taking place this weekend

The annual Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival is taking place this weekend.

The festival kicks off Saturday at the Fairborn Community Park, located at 691 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd. at 11 a.m. and goes until Sunday.

Guests can enjoy fresh sweet corn steamed on site, as well as a variety of other foods, according to a release.

This family-friendly event will have over 100 booths including handmade art and craft items from local and regional artists, according to the release.

Pony rides, face painting and the Big Bounce will be available for children.

There will also be a volksmarch, a corn eating contest, demonstrations and live music, the release stated.

Admission, parking and entertainment are free.

Saturday hours are 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. The festival runs Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.
