Police find Miami Twp. stabbing suspect hiding in closet of his home

A man accused of stabbing two women during a December attack at the Barclay Square Condominiums in Miami Twp. was caught hiding in a closet at his home, police said.

Duane E. Taylor Jr., 30, of Moraine, was arrested at 4:40 p.m. Thursday at his home in the 5100 block of Pensacola Boulevard and charged with two counts of felonious assault.

Police said Taylor stabbed one woman approximately seven times Dec. 28 on Crew Circle and the other about four times, court records show.

Police responded to the Barclay Square Condominiums about 8:15 p.m.

The attack was described by police as an apparent family dispute.

Taylor and victims did not live at the condo, police said.

Not guilty pleas were entered for Taylor on Friday. Bond was set at $250,000 and he was appointed a public defender.
