Firefighters battle car fire at Voss Collision Centre

A car fire inside Voss Collision Centre filled the business with smoke and required a response from the Washington Twp. Fire Department this morning.

Firefighters were called to the business, 94 Loop Road, around 12:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a fire alarm, firefighters said.

Initially there was no smoke showing upon crews arrival on the scene, but after making entry into the business, they discovered a large amount of smoke due to the car fire.

Firefighters said the fire was controlled by the business' sprinkler system.

There was no immediate word on if any other damage was caused to the building, but firefighters were ventilating smoke from the collision center after firefighters put out the flames.

A cause of the fire remains under investigation.
