Freeze Warning in effect this morning; Showers arrive for Easter Sunday

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Freeze Warning for Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Greene, Logan, Miami and Shelby counties until 9 a.m.

Subfreezing temperatures between 28 and 32 degrees are expected, which will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, as well as potentially damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Highs will reach the upper 50s Saturday under partly cloudy skies. Saturday night will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers after midnight and lows in the mid-40s.

Showers arrive for Easter Sunday, which will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain in the morning followed by likely showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 60s. Sunday night, showers are expected with the slight chance of thunderstorms and lows in the lower 50s.

For Monday, it will be mostly cloudy with showers likely in the morning, then partly cloudy in the afternoon with highs in the mid-50s.
