This year’s FPW campaign – “Not every hero wears a cape. Plan and practice your escape!” – works to educate everyone about the small but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe.
In addition to the many firetrucks and displays, there will be a “Firefighter Challenge” area for kids to explore, bouncy house and carnival games. The Fire Safety “Hazard House” will be on hand as well. Other activities will be scheduled throughout the remainder of the week, including visits to child care facilities and tours of Wright-Patterson’s three fire stations.
Firefighters will be on hand to accommodate visitors during normal duty hours throughout Fire Prevention Week. To arrange a visit to any of the stations, or for more information about Fire Prevention Week, call the base fire department at 257-4075.
