Viewing and funeral arrangements for a woman who collapsed and died Tuesday at a Beavercreek Walmart have been set.
The viewing for Angela Williams, 37, of Fairborn, will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home on Dayton Yellow Springs Road. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m., also at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home.
Co-workers remembered her as a nurse “who went above and beyond.”
The Greene County Coroner’s office confirmed that Williams died Tuesday. According to a release from the office, “She was apparently running from a dangerous situation inside the Walmart store when she collapsed. She was taken to Soin Medical Center where she died at 9:14 p.m.”
The coroner’s office added that it would be weeks before final results from the autopsy are available.
Williams worked for two years at Villa Springfield nursing home, first as a floor nurse then as a staffing administrator.
Co-workers there told WHIO-TV reporter Natalie Jovonovich that Williams had just gotten off work when she went to Walmart. They added that Williams was supposed to be married this upcoming Saturday and had children from the ages of 10-years-old to 18-years-old.
Bill Robinson, Administrator of Villa Springfield, said that her death was a great loss.
“Angie was a free-spirited person, she was a very compassionate person. As far as her abilities here, she was a nurse who went above and beyond. A huge part of our team,” Robinson said.
“This is a great loss to us because Angie went above and beyond every day to help anybody out in every area of the building. It’s a huge loss.”
“It’s very somber and a lot of emotions are going through the building right now. Sadness, shock and heartache. It’s devastating today in our building.”
