Groups to donate ballistic vests to 2 newest Dayton K9 officers

The Dayton Police Department’s two newest K9 officers will receive ballistic vests thanks to donations from two groups.

K9 Weston, who is handled by officer Jeremy Stewart, will receive his vest on Wednesday through a donation from the owners of Cincinnati-based CPG Armor Co.

K9 Hugo, who is handled by officer Randy Betsinger, will be fitted Wednesday for his new vest that will be donated through the Blue Line K9 Project, according to a release from the police department.
