The National Hurricane Center just determined wind speeds reached 160 mph, which would make it the first Category 5 storm to strike the U.S. since Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
Hurricane Michael is the fourth Category 5 storm to make landfall in the U.S.
The storm was responsible for 16 deaths and as much as $25 billion in damages.
