1 injured after head-on crash involving Springfield bus

The driver of a pickup truck was injured after crashing head-on into a Springfield City Area Transit bus Tuesday afternoon.

The crash was reported around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Jefferson Street and South Western Avenue.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to an area hospital with a head injury. Her condition wasn’t immediately known, but she was alert and talking, according to our crew on the scene.
