The residents came home to smoldering in the attic.
Officials on scene report the fire was likely electrical, caused by a ceiling fan wire in the attic.
Power to the home is currently off and the residents will be staying with nearby friends.
Investigators are on scene and working to learn more.
Jefferson, Moraine, Dayton and Lebanon departments responded to the fire.

Multiple fire crews are on scene of a working structure fire reported around 9 a.m. in the 300 block of Lawncrest Avenue.
