John Legend wants to be excluded from the Melania Trump plagiarized speech narrative

Springfield native John Legend was not having any part of being associated with the Melania Trump and Michelle Obama controversy.

When journalist Tony Gatto tweeted Melania may have used common phrases used by celebrities, including Legend, Legend had an interesting reply.

Legend fired back “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative,” words that Taylor Swift used earlier this week when Kim Kardashian released recorded a phone call between Swift and Kanye West.

In a controversy centered on copying words, it is interesting, yet ironic that Legend tweeted this response.

Melania Trump has been accused of copying parts of Michelle Obama’s speech from the Democratic Convention in 2008. The controversy has caused a stirsince the speech was delivered during the opening night of the Republican National Convention.
