A 24-year-old Miami Twp. man involved in a police chase that began in Kettering last month has been indicted.

James Price II is charged with failure to comply with order or signal of police officer and two misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest and obstructing official business, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report released Friday.

He remains held in the Montgomery County Jail, where he’s been behind bars since his Feb. 28 arrest. He is scheduled to appear Tuesday for arraignment in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

FIRST REPORT

The Miami Twp. man charged for his accused role in a chase that began in Kettering before ending in Miami Twp. had bond set at $175,000 in Kettering Municipal Court Thursday.

James Price II, 24, is charged with OVI, failure to comply and several other traffic-related offenses.

Kettering police said they attempted to pull over Price in the area of Dogwood Trail and Shrubb Drive on Wednesday morning, when he was said to have fled from officers.

The chase ultimately ended in the area of Spring Valley and Springboro pikes in Miami Twp. around 1 a.m.

The suspect attempted to bail on foot, but was caught by Kettering and Miami Twp. officers soon after with the help of K-9.

During the incident a police cruiser was struck intentionally by the suspect vehicle, with initial reports describing it as a “light hit,” with little damage.
