The City of Kettering’s Planning and Development Department has completed drafting a comprehensive modification to the Kettering Zoning Code, which is considered the primary tool the city has to shape development over time.
City officials say the goals are to preserve and enhance existing neighborhoods, promote reinvestment in the community and streamline the approval process.
Community members are welcome to participate in the review and adoption process for the new Zoning Code. Public meetings were held this summer and formal public hearings will begin with the Planning Commission meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, followed by final approval by City Council later this fall.
At each stage the public will have an opportunity to provide input and City staff will answer questions. A copy of the proposed code is available online at ketteringoh.org. STAFF REPORT
