Know a ‘Woman of Influence’ in Dayton? Nominations due soon

Nominations are due soon for the YWCA Dayton’s annual ceremony honoring local influential women.

The nonprofit has annually given out the awards since 1998. Nominations are open through Sept. 14.

“We celebrate Dayton’s most influential women, all of whom have made a difference in our community through their dedication to the YWCA mission of empowering women, eliminating racism and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all,” the YWCA states in its call for nominees.

Last year’s class of honorees included:

• Janice Allen, Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer, Trotwood-Madison City School District

• Mary Bullen, Community Philanthropist & Founder, Home Is The Foundation

• Kim Faris, Radio Host, Hot Country B94.5 and Mix 107.7

• Jacque Fisher, Deputy, Sensors Division (WPAFB)

• Sharon Rab, Founder & Chair, Dayton Literary Peace Prize

• Daria Dillard Stone, Parent Advocate & Educational Consultant

CareSource’s former CEO Pamela Morris also received the 2018 Women of Influence Lifetime Achievement Award.
