Overnight: It won't be as bitterly cold as last night, but it still will be chilly with lows in the upper teens, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said. Wind chills overnight will dip into the single digits.

Thursday: It will start off dry with temperatures rising into the 20s. Clouds will increase through the day with highs reaching into the lower to middle 30s. Scattered snow showers arrive towards the evening from the west. Snow will become more widespread overnight, especially towards morning. Activity favors along and south of Interstate 70. A light accumulation is expected, so roads may be messy for the Friday morning drive.

Friday: Scattered light snow in the morning may create messy travel for the early commute. Snow totals ranging between 1 and 3 inches possible. Some rain may mix in across the south before ending into the afternoon. Temperatures will rise to the upper 30s to near 40 degrees.
Saturday: A quiet start to the weekend and warmer. Winds increasing out of the south will push temperatures into the middle 50s for the afternoon. The next storm system will bring scattered rain and gusty winds Saturday evening into Saturday night. A few rumbles of thunder also are possible, but nothing severe.

Sunday: Showers end quickly, but gusty winds remain. Winds may gust as high as 40 mph. Temperatures will stay above normal with a high around 50 degrees.
Monday: Some morning clouds will give way to mostly sunny skies for the afternoon. A cooler, but seasonal day with highs in the middle 40s.
