What they do: Parent company of Cables to Go, providing connectivity products for audio/visual distributors and resellers, and Quicktron, which serves industrial/electrical and low-voltage distribution channels.
Positions yet to be filled: About 40 full-time. Currently, the company has 253 employees in Moraine and Dayton and 430 in the U.S.
Work involved: A wide range. The company is looking for web developers, web marketing employees, project manageers, those who can fill financial roles, IT roles, technical marketing, product management, inventory, sales people and technical sales people.
Location: More than 30 of the positions to be filled will be in Moraine and Dayton. The rest will be Canada and India, the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
Pay: Ranges from annual salaries of $35,000 to $70,000 and higher.
Training/education: Some positions require specific skills. Generally the company is looking for people with college educations, with advanced degrees in some cases.

What they do: Law firm
Positions yet to be filled: About 60. About 40 of those will be attorneys working in the legal discovery process. Currently, the company's Kettering office has 150 employees.
Work involved: New jobs will be focused on legal discovery work, combing documents in the discovery process for relevant information that could later be used by attorneys on behalf of clients.

Location: WilmerHale's offices are in the Miami Valley Research Park in Kettering.
Pay: The average annual salary will be about $50,000. Attorneys will make more.
Training/education: Depends on position. The firm is looking for employees who can handle documents processing, with four to five weeks of training to be provided in some cases by the firm. Attorneys should be law school graduates and admitted to the bar.
