Mad River Mountain has opened its ski lift for the season to trails such as Valley View Sundowner, Capital Park, Sugarbush and the Learning Area.

Mad River offers special deals for college students on Friday nights and military discounts.

This year the resort will offer Epic Passes, Epic Local Passes and Military Epic Pass.

These new passes offer customers unlimited access to all Vail Resort locations in the world for the Epic and Epic local is unlimited access to national locations.

The change in passes is part of a package deal created after several locations were acquired by Colorado based company Vail Resorts Inc.

According to a previous Dayton Daily News report, Vail Resorts will honor Peak Resorts pass products for the 2019-20 season.
