UD: Man breaks into same dorm room twice Sunday morning

University of Dayton police are looking for a man suspected of breaking into a Marycrest Hall dorm room twice in a 45 minute period early Sunday morning, according to the university.

The incident was reported around 7 a.m. Sunday when the unknown man entered the room of two female students in Marycrest Hall, a university representative said in a safety advisory sent to students and staff.

When confronted by one of the female students, the man left the room.

“Approximately 45 minutes later, a male tried to gain entry into the same room and was verbally confronted by the other female student. Later in the day, the two students realized the same male may have tried to make both unauthorized entries and reported the incidents to Public Safety,” officials said in the release.

Officials said the man didn’t take anything from the room and did not make physical contact with the two female students.

Police are continuing to investigate and attempt to identify the man.
