Coleman's brother told The Blade newspaper in Toledo that it was a violent but clean hit.
Coleman was from Napoleon. He played semipro football with his brother the last two years with a team based in Portland, Ind.
Emergency workers who were at the game Saturday got to Colemen quickly but could not revive him. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
The autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
