The trio appeared in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Tuesday for their arraignments.
Dayton police dispatched to Dayton Police Department headquarters on a kidnapping complaint. There, they met with the victim, who told them he had been held against his will and assaulted at a location in the 1200 block of Stanley Avenue. According to internet research, the address is a 10,000 square foot, one-story warehouse.
The victim told police he received a text asking him to attend a meeting at the Stanley Avenue location with three Shakhbandarovs and a fourth person, who has not been charged.
The victim said he had previously conducted business with the Shakhbandarovs and had met them at the Stanley Avenue location in the past.
When he met them there this time, he told police, they accused him of selling them faulty glass products 10 months earlier, took his cell phone and wouldn't let him leave.
Zakhadin, Ali and Dzhalil roughed him up, the victim said, noting that Zakhadin produced a knife and threatened to cut out his tongue and cut off his genitals if called police.
The victim said they demanded money from him and asked if he had a debit card.
An estimated hour and 20 minutes into the incident, the victim said an associate of the Shakhbandarovs arrived.
The victim said not too long after the associate arrived, The Shakhbandarovs gave him back his phone and let him leave the location.
The victim identified the Shakhbandarovs as his attackers, according to the court filing. That, and his statements to investigators were enough to convince a judge to sign arrest warrants for the three Shakhbandarov men.
The Shakhbandarovs -- 31-year-old Ali of Ray Street; 23-year-old Dzhalil and 45-year-old Zakhadin both Tall Oaks Court -- remained in the Montgomery County Jail Tuesday.
