Men sent to prison for beating, robbing 62-year-old woman

This week, Jaron Hayes and Randall Williams were sentenced in a home invasion earlier this year in Harrison Twp.

Williams was sentenced to nine years in prison. Hayes was sentenced to 13 years in prison, said Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr. in a release.

UPDATE @ 11:22 a.m. (Oct. 3):

Jaron Hayes, 20, was found guilty on all counts, according to court officials.

Hayes is scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 16 at 10 a.m.

A verdict has been reached in the trial of one of three suspects accused of attacking a 62-year-old woman before ransacking her home and forcing her to drive to an ATM at gunpoint earlier this year.

Jaron Hayes, 20, was on trial for three counts of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated robbery and burglary, one count of safecracking and having weapons under disability.

Last week, the victim in the case testified during the trial, which lasted more than a week.
