Planners on board with subdivision expansion
Troy’s Planning Commission voted Wednesday to approve the preliminary plan for extending the Nottingham subdivision on the city’s north side by more than 25 acres, contingent on the city Park Board agreeing to accept fees in lieu of park land or open space.
The property is bordered on the east of Piqua-Troy Road and was rezoned from agricultural-residential to single-family residential earlier this year.
The 25 acres is proposed for development in two phases with a total 51 building lots ranging in size from 12,040 square feet to 25,530 square feet. The development will provide the desired second access to the Nottingham neighborhood, Tim Davis of the city planning office staff said.
Commission member Patrick Titterington, who also is city service and safety director, abstained from the vote. He said he lived in the neighborhood. NANCY BOWMAN, CONTRIBUTING WRITER
