Downtown bicycle event set for Saturday

The Active Piqua Cyclovia will be held Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. in downtown Piqua.

The free event will be held on Main Street from Ash to Water and High and Market streets from Wayne to Main Street. Among activities will be a bike safety workshop, cornhole, art demonstrations, bicycle helmet fittings, music and other activities.


Boosters taking orders for doughnuts

The Troy schools’ Music Boosters are taking orders for their Strawberry Festival doughnuts. Pre-ordered doughnuts can be picked up at the Donut Drive-Thru on June 4 or 5. Deliveries will be made June 5 with deliveries limited to areas of the Troy school district.

Orders can be placed by phone at 937-332-3992 or online at by clicking on the photo of a doughnut.

Doughnut sale proceeds benefit all Troy City Schools music students and the Troy Music Boosters. The boosters also sell the doughnuts at the Strawberry Festival. The pre-sale doughnuts cost $8 per dozen. NANCY BOWMAN, CONTRIBUTING


Lucky Lemonade Series begins July 7

Guitarist Jim McCutcheon will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, 301 W. Main St., Troy, as part of the Lucky Lemonade Series in the courtyard.

McCutcheon’s music spans classical acoustic to some original songs.

Tracy Walker will perform July 14, Trey Stone and the Ringers will perform July 21 and Kim Taylor will perform July 28. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. STAFF REPORT
