Michael’s House Child Advocacy Center in Fairborn has scheduled its seventh annual “Family Fun Day and Cookout” from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at Elsa’s Kettering, 1216 E. Stroop Road.
The outdoor event features children’s games, clowns, balloons, face painting, food and beverages.
There also are silent and live auctions of donated items. Some of those items include a guitar autographed by country superstar Brad Paisley, a Dayton Dragons package, a 32-inch television, and gift certificates for dining and services.
Admission is $25 per person. Children 16 and under are free. All event proceeds directly benefit Michael’s House, a non-profit organization which provides a warm and welcoming environment to investigate cases of child abuse and neglect as well as provide assistance to the victims.
