Montgomery Co. Commissioner named ‘2018 Local Food Hero’

Montgomery County Commissioner Judy Dodge was named ‘2018 Local Food Hero’ by the Ohio Food Policy Network for her dedication and service.

The award celebrates “dedication and service to the people of Ohio through leadership and advocacy for the creation of healthy local and regional food systems,” according to a release.

“I am committed to removing obstacles and executing solutions to ensure that every man, woman, and child in our community has access to fresh, health food. I will continue to educate, advocate, and build new partnerships to create a community free of food inequity,” said Commissioner Dodge.

This year at the 8th Food Summit, which helps raise awareness and is an opportunity for leaders and food activists to network, share and discover new solution, is where Commissioner Dodge was presented the award.
