WHIO obtained dynamic video of a tornado tearing through the roof of a building in Midlothian, Va.

Richmond media outlets have confirmed that at least one person has died from the tornadoes and at least one other person was injured.

The National Weather Service out of Wakefield Virginia will be surveying the damage today.

The tornado lofted debris up into the air and it showed up more than 2 miles away on the yards of different residents.

A very moist environment when tropical depression Florence moved as well as plenty of directional wind shear (the change in direction of the wind with height) helped provide an atmosphere that helped these tornadoes developed.

The tornadoes are said to be related to what used to be Hurricane Florence, which continues to impact the weather in multiple states.
