UPDATE @ 1:15 p.m.:
All occupants got out of the home in the 40 block of Meadow Lane early Saturday morning when a fire started in the basement area.
Firefighters responded to the residence and saw heavy smoke coming from the front door, but were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire, according to a release.
The estimated damage to the property is $50,000 and $25,000 to the contents of the home.
A Box Alarm was dispatched to recall all off-duty Sidney firefighters as well as Anna Fire Department, Lockington Fire Department, Fort Loramie Fire Department and Perry Port Salem Rescue Squad, read the release.
Vectren was also called to the scene to secure the gas and DP&L to secure the power.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is currently under investigation by the Sidney Fire Department Investigation Team.
Multiple agencies helped to extinguish a fire that started in the basement of a home in Sidney Saturday.

The fire was quickly put under control and was confined to the basement, according to officials.
It’s not known if anyone was home during the fire or if anyone was injured.
Damages to the home was not known.
