Butler Twp. may see a new hotel, if permits are approved. CONTRIBUTED

Miller Lane could see a new $6.3 million hotel built, pending approval of permits.

Fairfield Inn and Suites is planning to build a four-story structure with an estimated market value of $6.3 million, according to a permit obtained by the Dayton Daily News.

The Montgomery County Building Regulations Division received the permit on June 18.

The planned 55,827 square foot hotel would be owned by The Witness Group, based in Lewis Center, Ohio. The company specializes in hotels and has five properties currently under development, according to its website.

The designer for the new hotel is Architectural Group III, Inc. The firm, based in Elkhart, Indiana, has designed more than 150 hotels in the last 15 years and is ranked in the top 100 hospitality design firms in the Hotel Business magazine, according to its website.

The design of the hotel, once permits are approved, could take six to nine months, according to architecture officials. The hotel could take two to three years to build.

If approved, the new hotel will be located on York Center Drive near the Residence Inn.
