The facility would house a total of 73 kennels and space for about 100 cats and would be sound proof to protect both the animals and nearby residents.

According to applications submitted to the township, SICSA has rescued and adopted over 7,500 animals. They’ve also performed over 6,900 spays and neuters over the last two years.

Township trustees approved the preliminary plans in April.

SICSA has a location currently at 2600 Wilmington Pike in Kettering.
