Oscar-winning actress tweets a special shout-out to Dayton

After grabbing her first Academy Award for best actress in a supporting role, Oakwood-raised Allison Janney didn’t forget where she came from while doing her rounds of thank yous.

“Love you Dayton! Thank you so much for all the love and support! I’m so proud to call you home. #Ohio,” wrote Janney in a Tweet Tuesday afternoon. The Tweet featured a picture of The Neon Movie Theater.
