Outages leave Wayne Avenue Kroger with limited food supply

A Kroger store still has no power to its freezers after a strong storm last week knocked out power to more than 55,000 Dayton Power & Light customers

The Kroger at 1555 Wayne Ave. in Dayton has been unable to sell frozen products, and posted several notes on the freezer cases in the store explaining the situation to shoppers.

“Due to an electrical issue, meat and frozen items had to be removed from the cases. Please ask an associate for any assistance. We will be happy to help you. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

Grocery items like produce, meats and other perishables were said to be in “limited availability.”

This news organization is working to contact Kroger on when customers can expect the store to be fully operational.
