Power restored in Montgomery County after thousands left in the dark

UPDATE @ 2:30 p.m.:

After an outage that left over 3,000 people in the dark, Montgomery County has power once again.

DP&L has not yet revealed a cause of the outage.

UPDATE @ 1:10 p.m.:

Power has been restored to some of the Montgomery County area, although a total of 1,726 people are still without power.

Kelly Millhouse, spokesperson for DP&L said a crew was working to restore power, but she could not give a cause for the outage.

INITIAL REPORT:

A total of 3,067 people are in the dark in Montgomery County.

The outage was reported around 11:30 a.m. according to DP&L’s outage map.

We have reached out to DP&L for information about the outage and will update this story with more details as we learn more.
