Power restored to Clark County after hundreds left in the dark

UPDATE @ 2:30 p.m.:

Power appears to have been restored after over 500 people were left in the dark earlier this afternoon.

There is still no word from Ohio Edison on the cause of  the outage.

INITIAL REPORT:

Just over 500 people are in the dark in Clark County according to Ohio Edison’s outage map.

The map shows that 510 people are currently without power and estimated that the outage will be restored by 3:30 p.m. today.

We have reached out to Ohio Edison for word on a cause, but have not yet received any information.

The National Weather Service advised that windy conditions were expected for the Miami Valley, but it is unclear at this time whether the outage is weather or wind-related.
