A Sidney home sustained significant damage in a fire early Saturday morning.
Sidney firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire around 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Merri Lane in Sidney.
The occupants had evacuated the structure prior to the arrival of fire crews. A box alarm was called to recall all off-duty fire personnel and mutual aid was received from Lockington Fire Department and Anna Fire Department for a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT).

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Sidney/Shelby County Fire Investigation Unit.
There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.
