Rollover crash caused by driver who ran red light in Xenia

UPDATE @ 9:10 a.m. 

A car that ran a red light at a busy intersection hit a pickup truck, causing the truck to roll, according to Xenia police.

Investigators said the driver of a Mazda car was traveling on South Church Street when they ran a red light and crashed into a pickup truck traveling on West Second Street. Police said the crash caused the the truck to roll at least one time and trapped the driver inside.

The driver was freed and was transported to Miami Valley Hospital for observational purposes. Medics said the driver was alert and talking after the crash.

The driver of the car will be cited for the crash.

One person is reportedly trapped following a rollover crash on West Second Street in Xenia Wednesday morning. 

Police and medics were dispatched near the intersection of West Second and South Church streets around 7:50 a.m. on reports of a rollover crash.

Initial reports indicate the crash involved two vehicles and sent a pickup truck is on its side.  One person is reportedly trapped inside one of the vehicles.
