60-plus companies looking for workers today at Xenia Job Fair

Dozens of local companies will be lined up to talk to potential job candidates today in Xenia.

The “2019 Xenia Job Fair” is set to happen from 2 to 5 p.m. at Xenia High School, 303 Kinsey Road.

Xenia H.S. school seniors will get first dibs on the jobs from 1 to 2 p.m., before it opens to the public.

More than 60 employers are expected to be present, looking for people to fill entry-level to highly skilled, professional positions, according to a release from the city of Xenia.

Employers listed for the fair include Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services; GE Aviation; Dayton Power and Light; Fuyao USA; and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

“We have worked diligently with our job fair partners this year to present an event that will not only highlight employment opportunities in our city and region, but will also include opportunities for graduating Xenia High School seniors,” said Xenia City Manager Brent Merriman.

The event is hosted by the city of Xenia in partnership with OhioMeansJobs-Greene County, the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce, Clark State Community College and Xenia Community Schools.
