Brother stabs brother in dust-up over computer game, Dayton police say

UPDATE @ 11:59 p.m.: A man stabbed his younger brother with a kitchen knife in a fight over a computer game, Dayton police Sgt. John Garrison said.

The victim, 17, is in stable condition at Miami Valley Hospital, the sergeant said.

The suspect is 18.

There were other people in the house on Shoop Avenue. No one else was injured.

No arrest has been made. Garrison said police are thinking about pursuing charges.

INITIAL REPORT

One person has been taken to Miami Valley Hospital from a reported stabbing in the 600 block of Shoop Avenue in Dayton.

Police and a medic unit were dispatched about 6:20 p.m. on the report. Police have not said much of anything about the incident.

The victim appears to be a young man. The extent of his injury or injuries is not known. We’re hearing he may have been stabbed in the leg.
