3 flee collision in Dayton that leaves victim trapped in one of the vehicles

UPDATE @ 10:20 p.m.: Three people in a pickup truck fled from the T-bone collision at East Siebenthaler and Ridge avenues that sent the driver of the other car to a hospital, Dayton police and fire officials said.

Firefighter/medics worked about 40 minutes in extricating the female from a four-door sedan, fire District Chief Matt McClain said. He characterized the woman's injuries as non-life-threatening. She has been taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

Police have confirmed witness accounts that a male, female and a child fled from the large pickup truck that rammed the driver's door of the sedan.

A police traffic unit is continuing its investigation. The intersection remains closed until further notice.

Police and a medic unit are on the scene of a vehicle accident with an entrapment on East Siebenthaler and Ridge avenues in Dayton.

The collision reported about 9:31 p.m. involves a sedan and a pickup truck. The fire/medic crew is working to extricate a person in the car.

The intersection is closed until further notice.
