Power restored after large outage in Montgomery Co.

Power has been restored to Dayton Power and Light customers after a large outage Thursday afternoon.

The cause of the outage is not known at this time, according to a spokesperson.

Nearly 5,000 Dayton Power and Light customers are without power this hour in Montgomery County and power crews are aware of the outage.

According to a spokesperson, the outage is reported in the Research Park area of Kettering.

The cause of the outage is not known at this time, but DP&L technicians are working to determine what caused the power failure.

An estimated time of restoration was not able to be released.
