Quilts, Underground Railroad to be discussed at Y

“Quilts and the Underground Railroads” will be the program at the Piqua YWCA Monthly Luncheon on Feb. 11. The program by Adrienne Heard is free and begins at 11 a.m. followed by a noon luncheon costing $6 per person.

Heard is the author of “Aunt Rosie’s Mother’s Quilt – Stories of the Underground Railroad.” She will tell stories of Code quilts, Freedom quilts and the Underground Railroad. In her spare time, she is a storyteller, specializing in black history.

Heard is a resident of Trotwood and founder of Heard Management consulting firm.
