3 injured after pickup truck crashes into ODOT mowing tractor in Preble County

UPDATE @ 11:30 a.m.: 

Three people, including an ODOT worker, were injured after a pickup truck crashed into the back of a mowing tractor, state troopers said.

Only one person, the driver of the pickup truck, was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The ODOT worker driving the tractor and the passenger of the pickup truck were treated at the scene, investigators said.

Both directions of state Route 503 remain blocked between Pyrmont Road and Eaton Lewisburg Road, but are expected to reopen before noon, according to state troopers.

The crash remains under investigation and additional details were not released.

A crash involving an ODOT mowing crew has shut down both directions of state Route 503 south of Lewisburg in Preble County, according to initial reports.

The crash was reported on state Route 503 at the intersection with Pyrmont Road around 10:15 a.m.

Medics were requested to the crash but it was not immediately known how many people were injured or how severe the injuries were.

Emergency crews have blocked both directions of state Route 503 between Pyrmont Road and Eaton Lewisburg Road, according to scanner traffic.
