Semi hauling milk overturns on I-70 East in Clayton, driver cited

The driver of a tanker hauling milk will be cited for a crash that shut down the right eastbound lane of I-70 in Clayton Thursday morning.

Terry Barga, of West Milton, was cited with failure to control. Barga was not injured in the crash.

UPDATE @ 12:25 p.m.: 

All eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 have reopened after a semi hauling milk overturned earlier Thursday morning. 

UPDATE @ 9:15 a.m.:

No one was injured after a semi hauling milk crashed into a ditch on Interstate 70 East near Ohio 49 in Clayton, according to officials. 

The driver attempted to avoid a broken-down vehicle that was causing slow traffic in the area when the driver lost control and overturned in a ditch. 

The right lane of I-70 east remains blocked. It is unknown when the lane is expected to reopen.

Emergency crews are blocking the right lane of Interstate 70 East near Ohio 49 following a rollover crash involving a tanker.

Initial reports indicate the rollover crash happened around 7:45 a.m. when the semi crashed into a ditch.

Emergency scanner traffic indicates the tanker was hauling thousands of pounds of milk. 

Crews have opened the left lane of I-70 East, but are expecting to have the right lane blocked for an extended period of time, according to initial reports.
