RTA bus routes redirected as Third Street Bridge sees replacement

The Third Street Bridge replacement will leave the Peace Bridge with an additional lane, wider sidewalks and artwork by “Bing” Davis.

In the meantime, RTA is rerouting several bus routes and setting up temporary stops in Dayton.

The replacement is projected to take 22 weeks as the city of Dayton works to better this “lasting symbol of hope.”

As of Thursday, the Third Street Bridge between Robert Drive and Edwin C. Moses Boulevard is closed; redirecting routes 1, 2 and 4.

The following stops will be closed for the duration of the bridge work:

Stop 95 on Third at Bank streets

Stop 6481 on Edwin C. Moses Boulevard

Stop 3 on Third at Perry streets

Stop 5 on Third at St. Mary’s streets

Stop 97 on Third at Sinclair Community College

Stop 98 on Third at Perry streets

While the bridge is closed, riders should use the temporary stops:

Stop 1320 on Fourth at Perry streets

Stop 1321 on Fourth Street at Sinclair Community College

Stop 1399 on Fifth at Wilkinson streets

Stop 4342 on Fifth at Ludlow streets
